The French National Association of Towns and Regions of art and history and Towns with protected areas (ANVPAH and VSSP)

* An association created in 2000 to gather cities and territories with a protected area ("secteur sauvegardé", ZPPAUP or AVAP) and cities and territories with the label "art and history".

* A network of 180 members of any scale

* A platform to exchange skills, experiences and issues in the fields of heritage and town planning (protection, management, mediation and valorization) at the national and international levels

* A space of advice, expertise and support of local authorities in terms of strategies of actions, methods and tools

* A center of resources, assuring a legal and technical watch on the patrimonial policies and tools

* A representative and a relay of local authorities with the national institutions and assemblies with strong and diverse partnerships (MEDDE, MAE, Caisse des Dépôts, Regions)

* An very vast radius of action: seminars, trainings and workshops for various actors of heritage (elected representatives and technicians), commissions and working groups around current themes (heritage and sustainable development, management and tax system of the heritage, the mediation of heritage, the reconversion of heritage, cultural tourism, knowledge...

* An association developing partnerships and exchanges with other numerous actors of heritage : the heritage foundation, ARF, APVF, unesco, AMF...
