Initiated in 2007, the inventory of carcija Skopje is a real tool of knowledge and support for the architectural and urban regulation of this heritage.

This operational inventory is conducted by a team of architects and engineers of the municipalities of Skopje, Cair (municipality of Skopje), the University of Architecture in Skopje (headed by Konstantin Dimitrovski, heritage architect) and the Institute of Heritage Skopje.

The first part of this study of 101 houses, presented in Bucharest in 2007, during the second european meetingsorganized by the ANVPAH & VSSP, is a reference work for other communities.

In 2008, an exposition organized by the City of Skopje and the Macedonian Ministry of Culture, presented to residents the results of this inventory. The exposition has raised awareness residents on this urban area, its architectural qualities and its surroundings.
